Trombonist and composer Robin Jessome presents one of Toronto’s newest and most exciting large jazz ensembles, featuring some of the city’s fresh, young musical minds.
The 11-piece ensemble was formed in 2008 to showcase arrangements of the music of Carla Bley, as well as a constantly expanding repertoire of original music composed or arranged by members of the ensemble. The group has a distinct personality and strives to maintain the energy and sense of humour found in Carla Bley’s compositions.
